![]() In 1718, Vivaldi moved to Mantua to become choirmaster of Prince Philip of Hesse-Darmstadt. Later he devoted himself to a series of opera works, the most popular entertainment show in those years. In this period that goes from the beginning of the 1700s to the 720s, Vivaldi wrote most of his works and published the first collections.
